More "candy canes"?
There was a guy in game today buying intricate Grawl necklaces for 100gp each, claiming there is a new trader giving out DP-removing items in exchange for them (like the Candy Canes during Christmas time). He refused to say where this guy supposedly is, and I hadn't heard about this before... was he just playing an expensive gag or was he telling the truth? If it was the truth, anyone know where the trader is?

Well, outside of Port Sledge there is a Collector who trades a nice staff (req 9divine favour 20/20 healing) for 5 Intricate Grawl Neclaces. That is possibly what he wanted, either that or he just wanted them. :\

Since they used the same items for both the Halloween and Christmas collectors, he could be stockpiling for the next holiday.

Its not unusual for players to pay 100g+ for Southern Shiverpeak collecters items. And yes he did probably want one of the items from the collecter outside Port Sledge.

The necro staff is good too outside Port Sledge. He could be wanting that one too.
These are the mods, very good too. Halves casting time of Blood Magic spells (Chance: 20%) Halves skill recharge of Blood Magic spells (Chance: 20%) One question though, aren't there more types of Grawl necklaces, so which one was he asking for? |

Items that can be traded for the high end collectors items have a standard price of 100.
Some run 200-1000 (the high end being bleached shells, for the stance shield -- they somethimes even cost more). Some can be bought for 50 or less if you work at it or buy in quantity, such as the ones easiest to farm (I bought big stacks of minotaur horns and griffon wings, not that I haven't also gotten bunches in the conventional manner). But 100 is a standard price. |

I actually bought 5 necklaces today for 75 gp each and I needed them for the necro collector stuff. The guy was just screwing with you since there is no collector that gives any DP removing items, and I also believe I read somewhere that items like Candy Canes won't be available anymore in the future.
